Have you ever looked at something in a dumpster and thought, “What was that even used for?” As junk removal pros at Quick Help Junk Removal, we’ve seen some of the wildest, weirdest, and most wonderfully creative (and sometimes creepy) items during our clean-ups around Buffalo and Tonawanda.
Today, we’re putting on our detective hats and inviting you to play along in our junk guessing game. Can you figure out what these bizarre discarded items used to be before we reveal the truth? Let’s get sleuthing!
The Spaghetti Chair
Clue: It’s twisted, colourful, and oddly cushiony. Once sat in a backyard, now it’s curled up in a dumpster.
Guess?
Answer: A homemade lawn chair made entirely out of pool noodles and spaghetti strainers! We admire the creativity it probably gave some serious summer vibes before it ended up on our truck.
The Haunted Doll Lamp
Clue: It’s got eyes that follow you… and a lightbulb for a brain.
Guess?
Answer: Yep, it was a lamp. But not just any lamp this antique doll was transformed into a table lamp complete with frilly dress lampshade. Equal parts eerie and inventive.
The Mystery Wheel of Fortune
Clue: It spins, it squeaks, and every section has a chore written on it.
Guess?
Answer: A handmade chore wheel! Found in the basement of a college rental, this genius invention was how roommates decided who cleaned what each week. Functional and fun.
The Brick Phone Aquarium
Clue: It’s retro, it’s bulky, and it has water inside. No, it’s not broken it’s…
Guess?
Answer: A fish tank made out of an old rotary phone! The dial was removed, the base sealed, and tiny guppies were swimming inside. Not something you see every day.
The License Plate Coffee Table
Clue: It’s flat, sturdy, and covered in expired metal IDs.
Guess?
Answer: A custom coffee table made with dozens of old license plates from across the U.S. We almost didn’t want to take this one it was kind of cool.
The Chicken Nugget Pillow
Clue: Brown, oddly shaped, and squishy. No sauce in sight.
Guess?
Answer: A novelty pillow shaped exactly like a McDonald’s chicken nugget. We don’t ask why it’s just part of the gig.
